The important fact about this article is that it explains how devastating the politics had been in Haiti after the earthquake. There had been people saying how it lead to sexual violence, food shortages, and instability. It also explained how many of the countries dissented in supporting them after what they had brought. They were doing efforts in rebuilding and having a better governmental structure.
